I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve teamed up with Karin Ballestrazze, and Stephen Mutch to launch truvi commerce!

While this isn’t the first business I’ve started, I can definitely say that I haven’t been this excited in a long time. I like to think that this new business was years in the making, or that my previous ventures have led me to this place. I started my first ecommerce business almost 25 years ago (in the days before Google). That was followed by several years at eWinery Solutions (now VinSuite) and then 10 1/2 years at WineDirect. When I first got started in wine and DTC, there were just 13 states with “reciprocal” laws on the books. Things have changed a lot since then - DTC sales now account for roughly 60% of winery revenue per SVB’s annual survey!

I’m super excited about this next chapter. First, I’m thrilled to be part of a team that not only has deep market, product, and operations expertise, but also an unmatched passion for delivering something of extraordinary value to the industry. We’ve worked together for many years and we share the same values. Our number one goal with truvi is to build an amazing team. We’re also strongly committed to building a culture of service excellence, where everyone is consistently working to create value for our customers.

Secondly, I’m extremely impressed by the platform. Just to give you an idea, I started building out a list of key features recently and am still going! Suffice it to say that we have many features I feel really set truvi apart - things like the shipment manager, Mailchimp integration, support for international shipments, a slick club tool with awesome personalization options, to name just a few.

In the time since I left WineDirect, we’ve been working quietly to build the business plan and infrastructure. Now that we’ve publicly announced the new company and team, we’re able to move that much faster on product development.

I'm very grateful to the colleagues, friends, and customers who have supported me over the past decade and I look forward to continuing my work in the wine industry. Please look for additional announcements from the truvi team in the coming weeks!

In the meantime, we welcome your questions and invite you to join us for a demo in the near future. Also, please be sure to check out our press release, and LinkedIn and Facebook pages.

All my best,
?Sheri
